Be careful of schools offering on-line courses. Currently BAR only allows a small portion 25% or less to be taught on-line for Level 1 inspector, Level 2 inspector, and the BAR Diagnostic & Repair classes; these on-line only classes don't meet this criteria. BAR requires a Level 1 and level 2 student actually perform smog inspections on vehicles.
We know it is tempting to be at home and do this type of training, but our experience has shown that in-person classes with hands-on smog inspections are much more effective. Not only is it better, you also get to network with other students and technicians. We provide printed books for you to make notes in and study from as part of our classes, not some e-Book you download and maybe print yourself.
Jesse and Jerry are available for questions before, during, and after class. Also if you look into the cost it is about the same.
Finally, you would miss out on our Valley famous free popcorn!
